Grayhawk Today

Finishing up our 36 hole championship today at one of the best courses in the country. It kinda feels like Tiger, swing isn't quite there and I have a ton of strokes to make up.

Only focus is to have a good time and enjoy the course.

What do you think about when you play?

A New Direction

Over the years I have considered and some what blogged for the purpose to keep many people on many current events of my life. The one thing I have learned though, especially regarding blogging, is that you only do it if you truly love to to it, not merely to inform people. I have been inconsistent, not b/c of time management or lack of new information, but honestly my lack of desire to fill people in on what is going on my life.

Where does that take this blog? As you can see I have been in the Golf Academy now for over a year and have not felt the need to actually update this thing. A time for change is upon us. Recently(today), I discovered a fellow high school alum had their own blog and read a few entries. I was impressed with their candor and openness. At that point I realized the blog was not truly for anyone else, but themselves trying to make it by in this world. It was then I decided, that if I too was going to continue with this blog, I was going to use it for that purpose as well.

Here is to an old friend for helping me with my insight to my mentality.

Moving forward, this blog will be more about being insightful then just golf specific. Golf will still get its say because of its place as my profession, but we all must walk through the fairways and choose our own clubs of life.

Less then a week to go

Well I start school on the 31st, and to be honest I am getting very antsy waiting for it to start... I suppose that this feeling is a good thing, but it is tough to wait on a new chapter of life... I have to remain confident that I have the ability to allow people to break me down and critique me psychologically and physically.

I will keep you posted.

Making the Decsion to Pursue a New Life in Golf

Over the past Year, I have been going back and forth trying to decide what my next step in life would be. After many discussions with my wife, we came to the conclusion that going back to school would be the best choice for me to enter the world of golf... Now, the only question is remains, which program to I choose ? A 4-5 year program like Arizona State or Coastal Carolina Professional Golf Management Program or a 2 year private schools such as Golf Academy of America or Professional Golfers Career College?

There are Pro's and Con's to both types of schools but I am leaning towards the more personal instruction that the smaller private schools offer.
